The exhibition A Brief History of Window Glass presents a historical cross-section of the application and production of window glass with an emphasis on its subordination to the associated architecture. Unlike glassware, whose purpose is realized in direct, everyday consumption, window glass is not a finished product in itself. Its full purpose is realized only in the entirety of the window opening.
