1. SPLIT: Between Dreams and Reality – National Museum of Modern Art Collection, Jan 22 – Mar 22
Split’s Old City Hall hosts “Between Dreams and Reality”, featuring masterpieces from the National Museum of Modern Art in Zagreb. The exhibition spans 150 years of Croatian modern and contemporary art, including Vlaho Bukovac, Miroslav Kraljević, Nasta Rojc, and contemporary artists like Kate Mijatović. Visitors can explore paintings, sculptures, and video works that blur the line between imagination and reality. 2. HLEBINE: Josip Generalić – 90th Birthday Exhibition, Feb 17 – Apr 19
The Gallery of Naïve Art celebrates the 90th birthday of Josip Generalić (1936–2004). The exhibition traces his artistic evolution from early Hlebine School works to lyrical floral compositions, expressive portraits, and later darker, grotesque pieces. Sketches and final works are shown together, revealing his creative process. Visitors also get a glimpse into cultural and social changes reflected in his art. A must-see for fans of Croatian naïve art.

3. ZAGREB: 10K Festival, Mar 5–8
The 10K Festival turns Jadran Film, Dubrava into a hub of music and urban culture. March 5 features rock band Zoster and DJ Stanko Bondža; March 6 blends R&B, hip hop, and club music; March 7 showcases electronic music with international DJs. The festival celebrates Zagreb’s 10 000 postal code and brings three nights of live music, dancing, and energy. A vibrant addition to the city’s spring cultural calendar.

4. ZAGREB: Tamara Obrovac & Transhistria Ensemble, Mar 18
At Lisinski Concert Hall, Tamara Obrovac performs with the Transhistria Ensemble, blending jazz with Istrian folk influences. The concert features haunting vocals, intricate rhythms, and sophisticated improvisation. Tradition meets modern jazz in a poetic, unforgettable evening. 5. ZAGREB: LAIBACH: Dvorana Zrcala 1980–1995,  Open until Mar 20
HDD Gallery presents Slovenia’s avant-garde collective Laibach. The exhibition includes posters, album covers, multimedia installations, and archival material, showing how Laibach challenged politics, society, and media from the 1980s to mid-1990s. Visitors gain insight into the collective’s cultural and artistic impact. Ideal for fans of experimental and conceptual art.

6. ŠIBENIK: Elena Stella & Ante Jeličić Sextet – Debut Album Live at Arsen, Mar 20
Kuća umjetnosti Arsen hosts Elena Stella with the Ante Jeličić Sextet, debuting the album Mačak u vreći. The eight original compositions explore emotions, social themes, and universal reflections on life. Stella’s poetic Croatian vocals blend with Jeličić’s sophisticated arrangements. Ensemble includes piano, drums, double bass, trumpet, saxophone, and trombone. A must-see jazz event in Šibenik.

7. ZAGREB: PLACe Market, From Mar 27
The PLACe Market transforms Tržnica Kvatrić into a lively evening gathering with street food, chef-led stands, artisan products, and entertainment. Visitors enjoy a mix of culinary delights and cultural engagement in a vibrant neighborhood atmosphere. A perfect experience for foodies, families, and friends.

8. ZAGREB: Peter Hook & The Light, Mar 28
Tvornica Kulture hosts iconic bassist Peter Hook with The Light, celebrating the 25th anniversary of New Order’s Get Ready. The concert features the full album and classics from Joy Division and New Order, including Love Will Tear Us Apart and Blue Monday. Fans can experience legendary post-punk and new wave tunes live.

9. KONAVLE: Between Light and Shadow – Ratko Zvrko Exhibition, Open until Jun 15
The Konavle Heritage Museum presents “Between Light and Shadow”, a photographic journey through the life of Ratko Zvrko — boxer, coach, journalist, and children’s author. About fifty photos from the 1940s–1990s document his work in boxing, journalism, and literature. The exhibition also reflects social and cultural life of the era. A fascinating glimpse into both public achievements and private moments.

10. ZAGREB: Once Upon a Time… – Toys That Shaped Our Childhood, Open until Sept 15
The Croatian School Museum (Andrije Hebranga 5) presents “Once Upon a Time…”, celebrating domestic toy factories like Biserka, Uzor, Jugoplastika, Tila, and Labinprogress. Classic toys and plush creations from the 20th century are displayed, showing craftsmanship, cultural impact, and nostalgia. Visitors can relive childhood memories while learning about the history of Croatian toys. Perfect for families and history enthusiasts alike.
