While the Houdini at Kalkbreite is a cinema first and foremost (5 screens), it features a quite notable bar as well. Just for the architecture it’s worth a visit. The yellow floor and the wooden bar contrast the concrete that dominates the high hall when you enter the building. Up on the mezzanine-like gallery which looks out onto the street you can while the day or evening away with a coffee and one of the many magazines provided. The menu also features more lively options like beers, cocktails and wine and as a speciality 12 different vermouths are on sale. They also have soups, salads, sandwiches and hot dogs.
