Swiss shoe manufacturer Bally achieved worldwide renown with its top-class shoes. The company is considered to have pioneered the combination of craftsmanship, industrial innovation and fashion design. Since its beginnings almost 170 years ago, the company has successfully pursued a pronounced international strategy. This exhibition follows shoe production from the patriarchal corporate culture of the 19th century to the networked working world of today. This progression can be experienced through originals never exhibited before, fashion drawings and machines from the Bally company archive. The exhibition also offers visitors the opportunity to try on current shoe models from classic leather shoes to sneakers in pop colours.
