This Vietnamese restaurant is located in a former shop at the lake end of Bahnhofstrasse. Although only a small selection of dishes is available, we were more than happy with the papaya salad topped with beef that had been slowly cooked for 30 hours (there are other toppings like chicken, tofu or pork belly). The razor-thin slices of meat were full of flavour, exceptionally tender and the sauce had a pleasant tanginess to it. Noodles and banh mi sandwiches are available, but charming Gran Caphé is also a good place to while away some time with a coffee, be it a standard cup of Joe or a proper Vietnamese-style Caphé Saigon.
