We think that Jao Praya, which is just around the corner from busy Sternen Oerlikon, is one of the best and most authentic Thai restaurants in Zurich. For lunch it serves popular dishes buffet style, but at dinner time the place is frequented by many Thais who come for the a la carte dishes. Order the succulent hot pot or share a choice of small dishes at the table. Either way, make sure to try one of the papaya salads or the sai krok isan, a fermented pork sausage served with ginger and white cabbage.
