Kosmos is a multifunctional, privately-funded cultural centre that opened in 2017. It's located at the end of Europaalle (the brand new district next to the main station) and has a bistro, a bookshop with café, a bar/club, an open-air bar in summer and a cinema with six screens, all of which is spread out over three floors - a real cosmos of culture, indeed. Lots of events such as readings, talks, seminars, concerts and the like are also held here, so it's a good place to just check out the scene, see what's on and go with the flow. The bistro offers dishes inspired by French, near Eastern and Swiss cuisine.
