We admit it. Barbecue sauce isn't the most obvious gift to bring home from a trip to Zurich, but Tsüri sauce is definitely worth buying. Chef Christian Heusser invented the secret recipe when he was attempting to create a good sauce for burgers. In addition to tomatoes, which is the main ingredient, you can also taste some sweetness and a soft note of pineapple as well as other flavours such as whiskey and a bit of chilli in the aftertaste. Handmade with as many local ingredients as possible and lovingly filled in numbered bottles, we wouldn't want to imagine our table without it. Tsüri chilli and steak pepper sauces are also available. Get them all at the food departement of the Globus departement store or at Berg & Tal in the Viadukt market hall.
