Every three years, the city centre turns into one big party and festival area for three whole days. Hundreds of food stalls, temporary restaurants and dozens of stages and open-air disco bars draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to what is the biggest town festival in Switzerland. Züri Fäscht aims to provide fun and entertainment for all generations and tastes. The festival area spreads out around the lake from Zürichhorn all the way to Mythenquai as well as throughout the inner city. There will be trapeze artists and acrobatic diving on the river, fun rides, roller coasters and much more. On the lake you can also take in one of the highlights of Züri Fäscht, the musical fireworks display on Friday and Saturday night (Fri 22:30, Sat 22:30 & 01:00). In general, we suggest you take a stroll through the festival in the afternoon to avoid the biggest crowds. In recent years the Lindenhof area has proven to be somewhat quieter than other areas. However, if you prefer diving straight into the maelstrom of merrymaking, try Limmatquai. The partying will continue until the early hours. Have fun!
