You don’t need to go out of your way these days to find craft brews on tap – almost every decent bar in the city has at least two or three brands on its menu. Plus Joburg (and surrounds) has a number of great micro-breweries producing some of the finest craft beers in the country, many of which boast excellent tap rooms. If wine is more your thing, you might be surprised to learn that Joburg even now has its own winery which you can visit for a tasting while if you plan ahead you can also go behind the scenes at one of South Africa's most celebrated craft gin disitlleries.
