From there new artists such as Nina Torr and Heidie Fourie as well as the Bitterkomix duo Anton Kannemeyer and Conrad Botes were enlisted to respond to this question. The result is an exhibition of varied and contrasting works which offer at times similar yet often different views on what it means to be a white Afrikaner.
Individually the artworks are impressive and there is a range of mediums on display but it is in bringing them together that the exhibition resonates most powerfully as it grapples with questions of belonging and being in our contemporary world.
