The BMW Art Generation returns for its third edition at NIROX Sculpture Park on Sat, Aug 30, 2025. Co-presented by FNB Art Joburg, the theme A Tropology Between Image and Imagination offers a day of critical thought and cultural exchange, highlighting the narrative power of creative practice. Attendants are invited to explore the poetics of possibility through curated talks, performances, and workshops. Tickets are available here.

Highlights of BMW Art Generation 2025 include a Garden Affirmations experience with Muneyi, which encourages you to slow down and be present, legendary live music from Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse and genre-defying composer Msaki, and a talks programme featuring artistic giants Zanele Muholi and Nicholas Hlobo. Visitors can also look forward to a workshop for the Kromdraai community, hosted by the BMW Centre for Art Education and led by Zeitz MOCAA’s Liesl Hartman.

Since 2020, BMW Art Generation has cultivated a new wave of art collectors and cultural patrons, celebrating African artistic expression and its global impact. This year’s event continues that legacy, celebrated in NIROX’s iconic natural setting in the Cradle of Humankind.
