Jewish Community

  ul. Partyzantów 7, Gdańsk ,   Wrzeszcz          (+48) 58 344 06 02     04 Dec 2018
This is the only place in the Tri-city where services are held as well as being the social hub for the small community of about 90 members. The community is responsible for the synagogue and Jewish Cemetery in Chelm with plans to take over the running of the Sopot Jewish Cemetery in the future. There is a small but very interesting exhibition on the ground floor telling the story of the Jewish community in Gdansk pre-WWII and their elimination including the story of the Kindertransport children who managed to flee the city in the late spring and early summer of 1939.
