This monthly mass cycle around the inner-city attracts cyclists of all ages and backgrounds who show up in their brightest gear, which can include fairy lights and superhero costumes, to reclaim the nighttime streets for two-wheelers. The route takes in most of the inner-city business district. Biking Banditz can help you rent a bike for the night if you do not have your own. The ride starts from the corner of Juta St and Beer St in Braamfontein.

Critical Mass takes place on the First Thursday of the month and starts at 18:00 sharp.Please bring your own bike if you can, alternatively, you can hire a bicycle for R200.
