A Kafka Moment by Centre for the Less Good Idea
Friday Apr 23 18:30
Arts on Main, 264 Fox St, Maboneng, City Centre
Founded by world-renowned South African artist William Kentridge, The Centre for the Less Good Idea is a non-commercial collaborative space at the artist's studios in Arts on Main, that brings together artists, musicians, poets, dancers, actors and filmmakers to support experimental, cross-disciplinary arts projects.
There are two programmes, each featuring works that were created by artists at the centre and inspired by Kafka's works' namely, Odradek (adapted from The Cares of a Family Man), A Hunger Artist, Kafka’s Ape (adapted from A Report to an Academy) and A Common Confusion, a playful series of short sketches about a group of friends attempting to puzzle out the life and writings of Franz Kafka.
A one evening ticket (R120) allows access to all of that evening's events, and viewers can also watch the talks and performances live for free on the Centre for the Less Good Idea youtube channel.
