Food and music bar Bad Manors, started out by entrepreneur and property developer Chris Van Den Berg in a grand old manor, has now made its home at Carfax, Newtown, after stints in Illovo Muse and  Parkhurst.

Whether you're tucking into chicken wings or Bad Manors' signature burger in the courtyard, sipping a Drunken Horse Gin cocktail, or tearing up the dance floor, this spot is all about good times with a hint of cheek. Musically, you can expect everything from speed garage to house, Afro-tech, and more. Plus, they're the proud home of Detention Radio’s Night School, where fresh new DJs take over the decks every first Thursday of the month.

So, whether you’re here for the beats, the books, or the burgers, just mind your manors (manners) – or don't.
