Join The Roving Bantu (aka Sifiso Ntuli) for a history walk through historic Brixton, Fietas and Braamfontein Cemetery, looking at the complex history of these lesser-known neighbourhoods on the western fringes of central Joburg.

The tour takes in both obvious and hidden local landmarks such as the Brixton telecom tower, the beautiful views seen from Brixton's Kingston Frost Park, the yard in the poor neighbourhood of Fietas where cult South African band Die Antwoord filmed one of their most iconic music videos and the final resting place of the composer of the South African national anthem nkosi sikelel' iafrika , Enoch Sontonga in the Braamfontein Cemetery.

The tour ends back in Brixton at the Roving Bantu Kitchen with a delicious three course afro soul food lunch, music performances and an art exhibition. The trek is approximately 6.7km long and starts at 10:00. Booking is essential. Email info@rovingbantu.co.za to book.
