As part of the exciting new online exhibition Afropolitan Comics, on Saturday July 11 at 11:00 the French Institut together with Dibuka Kids hosts a live cartoon drawing workshop on their Facebook page led by leading British-Nigerian comic book artist Tayo Fatunla. One of Africa's leading comic artists, Tayo Fatunla is an award-winning comic artist, editorial cartoonist, writer and illustrator. Fatunla has worked as a cartoonist and designer for numerous leading West African newspapers and magazines and in 2018 was awarded the Pioneer Lifetime Achievement (PLA) U.S Award, for his contribution to black history through his publication "Our Roots".

In this exclusive live online workshop, aimed especially at children, Tayo Fatunla will be teaching some basics of how to start drawing cartoons, sharing his talent and the joy of drawing online with Africa's budding young future cartoonists!

The online workshop is FREE. All you need is a stable internet connection and of course plenty of pens / pencils and paper.
