In addition to the glittering light display, Melrose Arch is pulling out all the stops with a busy programme of festive events too.

Soccer World Cup screenings
Soccer fans will be delighted to know, you can book a table at your favourite restaurant on the piazza or square and enjoy select screenings of World Cup matches. Keep up to date with Melrose social media here to find out which matches will be screened.

Christmas Lights
The kids will love wandering through the glow of thousands of Christmas lights that illuminate the precinct. Photo opportunities abound under a festive tunnel of lights that includes life-sized reindeer, giant teddy bears, Christmas trees, elves and other dazzling delights. Every year the precinct adds even more illuminations and decorations, making this Joburg's biggest display of Christmas lights.

Kids Glow Bike at the Piazza
Something to keep the bambinos entertained, the electric scooters on the Piazza are available for rides every night between 18:00–22:00, cost is R50 per ride.

Kids Characters
A visit from Destination Christmas Kids Characters including Santa Claus, a snowman, and the elves who will all be wandering around the precinct for pictures with kids and parents. There is also face painting available every Thu – Sun from 18:30–20:30. Face painting costs R20 per child.

Christmas Scene
Head to the Clicks court in the upper-level Galleria for a special Christmas scene set up. You'll want to take pictures of this one!

Eats and treats
There are plenty of treat stall to stop at for snacks while you stroll through the enchanting Christmas Lights. Open from 18:00–22:00, enjoy an array of candyfloss, ice cream, sweets treat, and popcorn.
