The exhibition's title alludes to Grobler's revisitation of motifs that have been appearing in his work for decades; namely paper boats and paper planes. His narratives are seldom linear, yet feel familiar thanks to fragments from myths, fairly tales and Bible stories. The dreamlike compositions of his paintings call to mind the work of René Magritte. In terms of animation, the exhibition showcases stills from his most recent film, Laaste Woord.
