Experience the best of the yesteryears at this special edition of the all-vinyl DJ night No Styrofoam, taking place at Braamfontein's buzzing Bannister Hotel Bar.<br /> <br /> The No Styrofoam night is the brainchild of Jared Aufrichtig, an American artist and Skull Candy sponsored DJ who is in South Africa on a six month residency which has included him displaying work at the recent FNB Joburg Art Fair as well as leading club nights in Cape Town.<br /> <br /> Aufrichtig describes No Styrofoam as being "not about making a crazy party with boom boom can't hear you Techno or House music. It is more about bringing together cool creative peeps that like vinyl and real music” Boasting some of the hottest vinyl DJs in the city, this special DJ night presents a musical journey through genres including funk, soul, blues and reggae.<br /> <br /> The line-up includes both international and local acts such as award-winning scratch DJ Tha Cutt, winner of the Red Bull Thre3style World Finals in 2012 and American mash-up DJ Just Be.<br /> <br /> There's also a R30 craft beer special running in conjunction with the party and the organisers promise special guest DJs and a surprise MC.
