Celebrate Africa Day on Sun, May 25, 2025, with the Exotically Divine Pulse community at the historic Drill Hall, where soulful food and collective action come together.

Once known for their much-loved vegan restaurant at Market on Main, Kganyapa and Ayanda of Exotically Divine Pulse are now the custodians of Drill Hall – reviving this forgotten landmark through nourishment, healing, and nature-based urban renewal. Exotically Divine Pulse is a Johannesburg-based non-profit that promotes community wellness and self-sufficiency through plant-based African food education, community gardens, and innovative urban waste management solutions.

This Africa Day, join them for an African Cause Meal at Bekezela Settlement on Newtown Street, a recognised heritage site. You’re invited to cook plant-based food, connect, share stories, and take part in a day of meaningful community activities. It’s nourishment for the body and the city’s soul.

All forms of energy are welcome, but food donations are especially appreciated. Drop-offs can be made at Drill Hall, 16 Twist Street, by Sat, May 24 2025. For more information, contact +27 79 227 8712.
