Now in its third year, the Fire and Feast Meat and Food Festival returns this spring celebrating the South African meat industry and all things braai related. Envisaged as an educational and culinary experience, visitors have the chance to learn about the various types, cuts and varieties of meat and the best ways to buy, prepare, cook and pair them. 

Hosting celebrity chefs, foodies, braai-masters, butchers and industry experts, entertainment is also lined up with MiCasa, Robbie Wessels, Kobus de Kock Jnr and Andre Kriel from Black Cat Bones and Wonderboom performing over the weekend. 

There's plenty of competition to enjoy including the Chilli Competition, fired up by Hot 91.9FM and Braai Wars, with celebrities and chefs competing against each other. There will also be a major contest taking place to crown the ultimate braai champion with competition across three disciplines – the Potjie, Barbecue Steak and Braai Broedjies.

Foodies can look forward to delicious authentic flavours from around the world with the chance to experience cultural and culinary delights from countries including Thailand, Japan, Turkey, Italy, India, Morocco, Mexico, Portugal and Korea and make sure to drop by the wine tasting zone and the Jack Daniels cave for some unique food and drink pairings.
