An incubator for femme and queer talent, join P_ssy Party as they take over the women-led establishment Acid Food & Wine Bar in Parktown North for their monthly First Thursday Party.

Enjoy sonic selections by Puleng Mongale, P_ssy Party Academy graduate Ipy, and culinary curator and chef of the decks Lady Day as they set the tone for a night on the town. Expect a flamboyant, mostly-femme crowd and an anything-goes atmosphere where unexpected vogue 'death-drops' are the rule and not the exception. Awkward dance moves are welcome, and the music runs the gamut from golden oldies and 1980s pop to tropical tunes, kwaito and house.

P_ssy Party resident DJ Your Uncle Garry put it best saying, “I feel seen here, I am more than just a body, I occupy space”, a statement that speaks to the open and celebratory atmosphere the event promotes.
