The all-star list of participating artists includes Eastern Cape native Andile Dyalvane whose works profess a deep connection to his Xhosa ancestry; the inimitable Kim Sacks — vessel and mark maker extraordinaire; and Clementina Van der Walt with her characteristically colourful and expressive style.

You can also expect to see the utterly mind-bending sculptural ceramics of Astrid Dahl; the diverse, often tongue-in-cheek creations of Hylton Nel; and pots of classic Zulu form and decoration by Thembi Nala, taught by her grandmother at aged 12.
The other artists on show are: Andrew Walford, Ann Marais, Charmaine Haines, Christina Bryer, Digby Hoets, Hennie Meyer, Ian Garrett, John Newdigate, John Shirley, Katherine Glenday, Lisa Firer, Lisa Ringwood, Madoda Fani, Michelle Legg, Ralph Johnson and Sarah Walters.
If you're at all interested in the world of South African ceramic arts, this exhibition is a must-see. Ceramics Invitational runs until Sat, Oct 14.
