Welcome the weekend at the Alliance Francaise in Parkview with French food, wine and music at the Guinguette garden party. Held in honour of 'Semaine de la Francophonie', France’s National Francophonie Week, Guinguette is a very French concept that has its origins in 18th Century Paris and has been recorded by historians as a "small cabaret in the suburbs and the surrounds of Paris, where craftsmen drink in the summer and on Sundays and on Festival days."

The Alliance Francaise's Guinguette pay homage to this historic festive summer tradition with singing, dancing, food and wine. The live acts for the night include French band La Fanfare Couche-Tard.

Tickets include a welcome drink and there's also a choice of food stalls selling typically French snacks.
