Johannesburg has no shortage of group exhibitions lately and we’re loving it. The city’s latest group show is Inside Life, “an exploration of the intricate realms that exist beneath the surface, both literally and metaphorically.” Hosted at Joburg's largest artist studios August House by Meta Foundation, Inside Life casts a lens on the hidden narratives of the everyday, and delves into the interiority of human experience.

The exhibition features works by Bekezela Mabena, Blessing Blaai, Johan Stegman, Lisa Younger, Melissa Haiden and Tamia Saunders – artists who employ a range of mediums and techniques to invite viewers into their intimate reflections on the theme.

Through inviting introspection, the varied works on exhibition ultimately prompt broader and more enduring connections between each other, people, the natural world, and the built environment.
