The IYABUYA iPOPArt Festival is a live and mixed media arts festival from Sat, Jan 21 to the end of March. It is organised by POPArt Productions and it is the first step they are taking to reopen the POPArt Theatre after a hiatus in early 2020.

Between 2011 and 2020 POPArt Theatre presented more than 500 new theatre works from its home in Maboneng and was a bastion of independent theatre in Johannesburg. The festival is a celebration of POPArt's greatest hits and features audience favourites and shows which best represented the PopArt ethos. There are two concurrent programmes, the core programme will take place at AFDA and the POPUp programme in a variety of locations. See the full programme below and make sure to book your tickets. Some of Joburg's freshest and finest theatre on display.
