The undisputed queen of South African pantomime Janice Honeyman’s Snow White (the first pantomime she ever produced) returns to the stage for the first time in 31 years.

Honeyman has pulled out all the stops for this year's production and no expense has been spared in bringing together a lavish set and impressive special effects that even includes Snow White and her prince dancing a duet on ice skates under fake falling snow. Another major 'wow' moment in this year's production comes in the second act when the audience are invited to put on their 3D glasses and join the seven dwarves as they take on dragons, ogres and all manner of creepy crawlies in an underground quest through a magical mine - a fantastically effective use of technology that stunned audience members both young and old.

Major scene stealers in the Snow White cast include the hilarious Dame Dolla Dludlu i'Diddledaddledoodle played by actor and comedian Desmond Dube, who between sitting and stirring stew ("that's me, the palace sit-stirrer") cruises around the stage on a Segway delivering saucy one-liners that cleverly reference current affairs. The pantomime's larger than life arch baddie Queen Hildegonda Hurl-A-Lot, played by Ben Voss, is another highlight, playing up to the audience's incessant booing to such an extent that you'd hardly be surprised to see the kids in the front tossing their jelly tots at him!

Playing Snow White is the delightful Kiruna-Lind Devar while her handsome Prince Chuck B Charming is Tshepo Ncokoane and making his pantomime debut as Norman Knockiknees the Major Dumb-Ou is ex-radio host and former Ireland rugby player John Robbie who brilliantly plays up his himself by constantly being handed the most ridiculously cheesy one-liners that you'll ever hear about tackles, line-outs, tries and penalties.

Throw in some energetic choreography, catchy remakes of hit pop songs, lots of audience participation and the most dazzling, glittering sets and you have the perfect recipe for an uproariously fun festive theatre outing that's great entertainment for the whole family.
