From Helen Suzman to Gillian Cutler, Ina Perlman and Taubie Kushlick, so many Jewish women have devoted time, energy and kindness to helping the less fortunate in Joburg through literature, theatre, research, academia and activism. In honour of Women's Month, Johannesburg Heritage's formidable heritage activists and historians Flo Bird and Denise Alexander lead this tour of the Jewish section of Joburg's Westpark cemetery, paying respects to these formidable Joburg women and regaling visitors with intimate, amusing, and affectionate portraits of their achievements and contributions to the city at large.

The tour starts at the Ohel in Westpark Jewish Cemetery (entrance on West Park Rd, Westpark). Booking is essential.
