Johannesburg Observatory

  18a Gill St, Observatory      +27 11 487 3003     more than a year ago
The historic Johannesburg Observatory occupies the highest point in Joburg, perched high atop Observatory ridge, and commands magnificent views over the city (and the cosmos of course) and is in itself an architectural treasure. The site is run by the SAIEE (South African Institute of Electrical Engineers) who also have a small museum. Visits are by appointment.
