June 16 Heritage Walking Tour at Victoria Yards

The Kensington Heritage association leads a free walking tour this June 16 of the neighbourhoods surrounding the arts-centric Victoria Yards complex in Lorentzville. The tour takes a deep dive into the fascinating history of eastern Joburg visiting historic landmarks such as the Maurice Freeman Municipal Homes, Bertrams Synagogue, the home of the late anti-apartheid activist David Webster, the Kensington Sanitorium, Jeppes Boys High School and the Scottish Horse Memorial as well as the Victoria Yards complex itself.

The two-hour walking tour starts at 08:30 at Victoria Yards.
