In this new exhibition Joburg-based ceramic artist Kevin Collins reflects on the way children have the ability to move back and forth in their minds in a way that adults seem to no longer remember how. Reminiscing on his much younger days, in this new body of work Collins reflects on that lost ability to live in both the real world and fantasy world at the same time as children do.

In these ceramic creations Collins uses his clay to conjure fantastical personas, almost magically and often on a whim, that are inspired by images from his own childhood and by his early love for illustrated storybooks.
