Founded by husband and wife team Françoise De Oliveira and Dominic McCabe, Mambu Design is a uniquely South African jewellery and fashion label, that places an emphasis on social upliftment, fair trade and natural, ethically sourced materials. Mambu Design's signature hand-crafted necklaces, brooches and earrings are made from painted and etched ostrich eggshell and created by a predominantly female team of artisans (many of whom are single mothers) at the brand's Johannesburg workshop in Kensington.

As well as ostrich eggshell jewellery, Mambu Design also produces delicate bowls made from ostrich eggs and has its own clothing range, made from natural fibres, that is designed to perfectly compliment the Mambu jewellery aesthetic.  At their pretty 44 Stanley boutique you can also find a selection of handmade items from other local brands, including knitwear by Wrapt.
