The glorious Nirox Sculpture Park in the Cradle of Humankind (just 50 minutes drive from Sandton), presents another of its popular classical concerts with a production of Mozart's The Magic Flute hosted in partnership with the annual Johannesburg International Mozart Festival. The production is led by the opera singers from Pretoria's Brooklyn Theatre with special international guests Martin Mairinger (Austria), Leah Manning (USA) and Seo Young Lee (South Korea).

Mozart's timeless masterpiece The Magic Flute is a magic and adventure-filled story. One of Mozart's most magical and mystical tales, the opera follows Prince Tamino and the bird-catcher Papageno, who helped by magical musical instruments, on their quest to rescue Pamina, the daughter of the Queen of the Night.

As part of this special open-air opera event there is also food and drink on sale at the Epicurean Emporium where concert-goers can buy delicious lunches from a number of food trucks and artisanal food stalls. Also, check out the new look Bernie’s Bar for beverages and refreshments throughout the day.

Gates open at 12:00 and the performance starts at 15:30. Note that you may not bring your own food and drinks into the park.
