Mr Hare meets Mr Mandela is an original production of one of cherished writer and community chronicler Chris van Wyk's final stories. Mr Hare Meets Mr Mandela is a story about bravery, honesty, and perseverance. It also emphasizes the value of literacy and reading — two things that the late Madiba held dear.

Entertaining for the whole family, this show teaches kids about the benefits of stories and being able to read them using fresh writing, upbeat music, and an abundance of characters. The moral of the story is that if we do not grow from our mistakes, we will inevitably make the same ones again.

This production by the Peoples Theatre is on stage for a limited season at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre & Studio.
