Nine Yards is a destination taking shape across nine adjoining properties in Parktown North, set to open in February 2026. The project transforms 13 historical buildings into a serene, bamboo-lined walkable precinct for food, art, and culture, all while preserving the character of the existing structures. Already home to fresh produce shop GardenFresh and fashion label Artclub and Friends, among others, the site combines heritage charm with modern design. It's set to become a unique experience in one of Johannesburg’s most convenient and leafy neighbourhoods.
Here's some of what you'll find – and what's coming soon – at Nine Yards, Parktown North:
1. GardenFresh (open)
GardenFresh is a bright, light-filled emporium of fresh produce, flowers, and plants, with items sourced from local, small-scale growers. It's a must-visit for anyone after unique ingredients or just a burst of colour and greenery.
2. Sea and Stream
GardenFresh is expanding with Sea and Stream, a fishmonger featuring fresh and sustainably sourced seafood from Robberg Fine Foods, Lunsklip Fisheries, Green Fish, and La Marina Foods. It’s the most convenient stop for high-quality fish and shellfish to take home and enjoy with a meal.
