Due the ongoing global crisis caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Percussion Threads - From Zurich to Mzansi show is postponed.

guerillaclassics is a musical initiative that brings classical music out of the concert hall and into surprising public locations, including train stations, mountainsides and even building sites. Through spontaneous and accessible concert experiences, the platform aims to share the magic of classical music with a wider audience and create a unique concert experience that fuses together different musical traditions.

This month guerillaclassics leads a concert tour through South Africa featuring new music by the composers and musicians Neo Muyanga (born in Soweto) and Nik Bärtsch (born in Zurich), performed by the Cosmic Percussion Ensemble (Zurich) who are joined by viola player Sarah Evans and South African singers Nomapostile Nyiki and Lungiswa Plaatjies.

guerillaclassics plays the concourse at Joburg's Park Station on Friday March 20 and Soweto Theatre on Saturday March 21 at 15:00.
