After winning the Standard Bank Young Artist for Jazz in 2009, in 2010 drummer and composer Kesivan Naidoo released his first SAMA-nominated album Instigators of the Revolution with his band The Lights, a tribute to some of his favourite musicians the likes of Bheki Mseleku and John Coltrane.

Always an audience favourite at The Orbit jazz club, Naidoo returns to The Orbit stage joined by legendary jazz bassist and composer Carlo Mombelli and Madagascan pianist, guitarist and vocalist Silo Andrian, to present his latest work Rhythmanalysis. Exploring rhythm as a revolutionary force and a form of resistance against social constructs and boundaries, the trio embark on a journey through improvisation and counter-rhythms where the audience is charged with being 'time-keepers' to the trio’s musical experiment as 'rhythm analysts'.
