To celebrate Gauteng's annual jacaranda spring, Johannesburg In Your Pocket hosts the #JacarandaInYourPocket event series to showcase the most beautiful time of year in Joburg. This year is no different, with a line-up of events from Sat, Oct 19 – Sun, Oct 27.

Jacaranda social ride

Wheel your way through the purple splendour of Joburg with Banditz Bicycle Club on Sun, Oct 27 from 09:00. This free social ride (booking is essential) will take you through the city's jacaranda-lined streets. Meeting at Hyde Hotel Rosebank – arrive early for a coffee and pastry before setting off. Book your spot for the social ride.

Be sure to bring your bike and helmet, or rent one (email hello@banditzbicycle.com ahead of time) for R200 if needed.
