Pre-auction exhibition

Perhaps not known to most people who have never attended an art auction before, the preview exhibition and the walkabouts and talks that take place in conjunction with it are an incredible opportunity to see an extraordinary collection of artworks that will soon disappear into private collections, of brushing up on your art knowledge and starting your own collection. All the works from the Live Auction go on display to the public at The Wanderers Club from June 1-3 (exhibition open 10:00-17:00). The exhibition programme of events includes:
June 2 & 3 at 11:00 Specialist walkabout of the exhibition by Strauss & Co curators
Sat June 2 at 14:00: A family friendly viewing of the exhibition designed especially for young children (to attend the family event please RSVP to kate@straussart.co.za)
Sat June 2 at 16:00 Lecture by Dr Alastair Meredith Alexis Preller - Adapting to the Unendurable
Sun June 3 at 16:00 Lecture by Mr Wilhelm van Rensberg - South African Abstract Art
