Legendary South African musician, Thandiswa Mazwai bring her new music to the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City for a one-night concert on Fri, Aug 25. 
  
With the launch of her highly anticipated album, "Sankofa," Thandiswa offers a sneak peek of her musical prowess to intimate audiences in both Johannesburg and Durban. Attendees will be immersed in a tapestry of fresh sounds, featuring compositions recorded in New York and Dakar produced by Meshell Ndegeocello and Nduduzo Makhathini, respectively. In addition, there will be songs from her previous albums. 

“I can’t wait to share some of my new music and experience the audience reaction. Sankofa is about fetching what has been left behind and the making of this work has really embodied that idea. I can’t wait for people to hear what we have been working on. It is sensitive and lush while at the same time very powerful to me.”
