One of our favourite wine bars, Publik in Rosebank's Park Corner area, hosts a five days only pop-up in collaboration with one of Cape Town's hippest new eateries The Commissary this May. The Commissary is an uber-cool and casual restaurant (a sister venue to chef Wesley Randles and restaurateur Simon Widdison's cult Shortmarket Club) that has gained wide praise for its delicious, and fun, street food-style dishes served in a laidback atmosphere.

As at The Commissary in Cape Town, there's no way to secure a reservation for the pop-up, tables are first-come-first-served. Publik is in itself a particularly small wine bar that only seats around 20 people, so being organised and arriving early (the kitchen will be serving food from 18:00-22:00) is paramount to getting the opportunity to try some of the best eats from one of Cape Town's most celebrated new foodie hotspots.
