03 Dec 2025
The first week of the month is always a busy one in Joburg, and several places have recurring events to help you spend that salary in style. Here are all the events you can add to your calendar to make sure you're starting December right.

What to do on Thu, Dec 4, 2025

From 16:00 – Wander through the very first Melville Art Mile for a Thursday packed with artist walkabouts, live music, pottery, print-making, night markets, and that unmistakable Melville spirit.
From 16:00 – Altar Bar and Best Friends in Greenside are teaming up for a first Thursday to remember, packed with music, great food, and free Smash Burgers for the first 30 guests.
From 17:00 – Explore new exhibitions at 223 Jan Smuts Creative Hub, including The New Vanguard 2025: Flesh and Face, featuring works by several local artists. Join A StrangerKind for intimate conversations with volunteers sharing their lived experiences. Ask questions, get curious.
From 18:00 Keyes Art Mile's galleries and restaurants stay open late to bring you the final Keyes Art Night of 2025 – enjoy new exhibitions, delicious eats, and live music.
From 18:00 – Become an artist with Wine & Create Social Club at Artwave Studio at 44 Stanley. This Thursday's edition includes a social still-life drawing session.
From 18:00 – Step into a world of texture, colour, and lived memory at Weed Lovers Market in Marshalltown, where four dynamic artists reshape how we see the city in a powerful exhibition.
From 21:00 – Feel the bass and whine your waist with Dancehall Nice Again at Club A.M. in Newtown.
