Jazz pianist and composer Kyle Shepherd received the prestigious Standard Bank Young Artist of the Year in 2014 and is one of South Africa’s most exciting young jazz talents. A regular fixture on the international jazz scene, Shepherd has collaborated on contemporary jazz projects with musicians from all over the world.

At this concert Shepherd is performing with his jazz trio alongside bright young musical collaborators Shane Cooper on double bass and Jonno Sweetman on drums. At this concert the trio will be taking the audience through Shepherd's extensive songbook, looking back over six albums and reimagining original compositions and hits from Shepherd’s rich repertoire.
