One of John Kani and Barney Simon's most successful musical plays returns to the Market Theatre, lighting up the festive season with an upbeat telling of Christ's nativity story, brought to life by an ensemble of great voices.

The musical, narrated by John Kani and directed by the multi-award-winning James Ngcobo, relates the biblical story of Jesus's birth, death and resurrection, told through gospel and African spiritual music. Bringing their melodious voices to the ensemble are lead singer Nokukhanya Dlamini, Gugu Shezi and Nomfundo Dlamini who are joined by a four-piece band led by distinguished musician, Tshepo Mngoma.
