The Printing Girls: Things that live and move

Saturday Nov 5 - Wednesday Nov 30       151 Jan Smuts Ave, Parkwood
share
The Printing Girls and David Krut Projects present Things that live and move, a group exhibition of work by  32 artists. The Printing Girls is an all-female collective of South African-based artists who work in print and whose aim is to create a platform for women in print to share ideas, network and exhibit together.

The artists work in a wide range of printmaking techniques and the exhibition is an excellent showcase of the varied avenues available within printmaking. The works explore the artists' worlds and experiences and range from literal depictions of the world around them to more abstract explorations.

With work from established printers at David Krut such as Sarah Judge and Roxy Kaczmarek to young up-and-coming artists, few exhibitions provide such a broad snapshot of the printmaking landscape in South Africa today.

Things that live and move opens on Sat, Nov 5 at 10:00 at David Krut Bookstore and Gallery at The Blue House with drinks and snacks.
