An outstanding showcase of new documentary photography by young, local photographers who capture contemporary stories that are specific to the Gauteng region. The Urban Gaze exhibition is a presentation of the best entries in this year's Gauteng City-Region Observatory (GCRO) Urban Gaze photography competition which awards the creativity of upcoming South African documentary photographers. The photos on display are from the finalists of the competition's five categories; Histories and Futures, Place and Movement, Economy and Economic Life, Sustainability and the Environment, and A Province and Its People.

Also on show is the latest exhibition by the acclaimed young South African photographer Musa N Nxumalo who explores youth culture, identity and the journey to self-discovery in his distinctive images.

Opening event Thu May 2 from 18:00 during the Keyes Thursday party.
