High Tea at the Palazzo is always a special occasion and this winter the luxurious hotel in Montecasino is serving a special Winter High Tea menu. The winter High Tea selection includes homemade apple crumble cupcake, Mexican spiced chocolate pannacotta with capsicum compote, cherry and dark chocolate mousse, peanut butter crunch milk chocolate tart with banana jelly, custard tarts, sweet and savoury scones and macarons. On the savoury side of things you can enjoy a range of tasty sandwiches, quiches and dainty cocktail pies and elegant bites like minted halloumi and tomato pesto on toasted tramezzini, roast beef and wholegrain blackberry mustard pretzels and smoked salmon and truffle ricotta on a beetroot roll. 

The High Tea is served at the hotel’s Medeo Restaurant terrace overlooking a pool that would make any Hollywood starlet feel at home and lush gardens that are bathed in highveld winter sunshine.

A special new Morning High Tea is also available Monday to Friday (costs R195 per person, served 09:30-11:30) which includes breakfast pannacotta with seasonal fresh fruit, baked cheesecake with spiced blueberry compote, banana bacon doughnut, custard tart, scones, bagels, French toast, Truffle parmesan and scrambled egg croissants, red onion marmalade and goats cheese quiche plus sweet and savoury items from the cake stand and freshly brewed teas and coffee.

Costs R285 per person. Booking is essential. High Tea served from 14:00-17:00.
