This place could be called a bar mleczny for the rest of us. When the cold communist style and eat-and-run attitude of regular milk bars sour your mood, head here for a quick and cheap lunch. The wood panelling creates a feeling of warmth and comfort (always welcome during the cold or rainy months) and the lack of crowds means people can eat in peace. Some of Polish favourites are available on order, but most of the food is warm and ready to go, just point and say, “proszę” (please), to one of the bored but polite girls behind the counter. And yes, you do have to take your dishes to the hole in the wall in the back when you’re done, thank you very much.

I found this place by accident and the review above is correct when it says "bored but polite girls". I think they would have let me sit at my table all day had I not followed everybody else and gone to order at the counter. You also have to fetch your plate of food from the counter and whatever you have ordered will fill you up but be pretty wonderful. The salad bar looked nice too but it was too confusing for me.
